Jessica Chastain to headline Christopher Nolan's “Interstellar”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Jessica Chastain has been linked to Christopher Nolan's Interstellar.

The Zero Dark Thirty actress - who has just been cast in The Zookeeper's Wife - is in talks to play one of the leads in the film, Digital Spy revealed citing Deadline.

The sci-fi project is thought to focus on "a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding".

Interstellar is a co-production from Paramount and Warner Bros, with Steven Spielberg and Lynda Obst among the producers.

Spielberg had Jonathan Nolan - Christopher Nolan's brother - write a script based on physicist Kip S. Thorne's theory that wormholes exist and can be used for time travel. However, Christopher Nolan signed a deal as producer and director at the start of 2013, after Spielberg passed on the opportunity to direct.

The Dark Knight Rises director has also reportedly revised his brother's script to incorporate an original idea.

Interstellar already stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, and is due to be released on November 7, 2014.
