POSITIVE CHANGES IN ARMENIAN ECONOMY APPRECIATED IN LUCERNE
The participants of the Lucerne second forum of international organizations contributing to the 7 CIS economies in transition (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) appreciated the positive changes in the Armenian economy. According to the information provided by "Arka" agency, the press release of the ministry of finance of Armenia reports. It also noted that the high indicator of economic growth in Armenia within the past three years, the inflation rate management, improvement of external debt indicators positively characterize Armenia and accentuate the eminence in comparison with other countries. One of the main topics of the forum was the question of serving the obligations on the debts of the CIS countries. It was noted that Armenia did not experience any problems in this aspect. The forum participants also concerned the issue of facilitating the integration of the CIS economies. From this point of view Armenia's accession to the WTO was assessed as an important and practical move.
