Baghdassaryan: 100% Turnout Impossible in Majority of RA Communities

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliament Speaker Artur Baghdassaryan addressed a letter to RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan in view of violations taken place during the constitutional referendum on November 27, RA NA press service reported. The letter says in part, "I hold the opinion that throw-in of ballots took place during the referendum. It does not honor our state since some people with this disservice undermine Armenia's international authority. The investigations carried out by parliament and Orinats Yerkir party show that 100% turnout was impossible in the majority of the RA constituencies. The electoral rolls were not perfect either. Meanwhile the protocols submitted by a number of election committees record 100% or 90% turnout. I think it advisable to clarify the real number of voters. Moreover, the Central Electoral Commission can easily provide the data about the polling stations with over 90% turnout. The comparison of those who "voted" and those who possessed social cards in some communities also shows different figures. The report compiled by It's Your Choice NGO fixed numerous violations during the referendum. The report of the PACE Monitoring also noted of violations and throw-in. I am convinced that the examination of the above mentioned facts will allow the Office of the Prosecutor General to give a real estimate to the violations taken place in the course of the referendum."
