South Caucasus Interparliamentary Assembly to Start Work January 1
The South Caucasus Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) will start working on January 1, 2006, stated NA Chair, one of co-sponsors of creation of the organization Artur Baghdassaryan. In the words of the Armenian Speaker, the IPA will have a positive impact on establishment of dialogue and cooperation between the three countries of the region - Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. "Obviously there are issues in the relations between those countries that demand specification. We should abide by solution of issues exclusively via talks both in domestic and foreign policy arenas," Mr. Baghdassaryan stated. Touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh settlement, the Speaker remarked the issue should be solved taking into account the interests of the peoples of the two countries, reported IA Regnum.
