Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha did not rule out the CSTO using its military potential if Azerbaijan attacks Armenia, he stated it in an interview with the Nezavisimaya Gazeta. Answering the question whether the CSTO will really use its military potential if Azerbaijan attacks Armenia, he stated, «The fourth article of the Collective Security Treaty clearly indicates that aggression against a CSTO member country is considered by the rest of the countries as aggression against them all. Thus, comments are needless here. However, the CSTO main goal is to create a system, in case of which military forces will not be used. The Treaty, in fact, is aimed at preventing bloodshed and application of force in solving any problem both inside a country and on its borders with other states.»
