January 18 Armenian Speaker to Pay Working Visit to Vienna

PanARMENIAN.Net - January 18-20 Armenian Speaker Artur Baghdassaryan will pay a working visit to Austria, reported the Press Service of the Armenian NA. The Speaker is scheduled to meet with Austrian Federal Council Chair Sissy Roth-Halvax, head of the Social-Democratic Party Alfred Gusenbauer, EU Commissioner for External and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner. The Armenian Speaker will also meet with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut and head of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR/OSCE) Christian Strohal. Besides, Mr. Baghdassaryan will take part in European Strategy to Strengthen Democracy in Post-Communist countries seminar in Vienna. The event is organized under the aegis of the country presiding the EU. The seminar will discuss the prospects of development of democracy in the South Caucasus. Baghdassaryan will met with Austrian Federal PM Wolfgang Schussel, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the European Parliament Elmar Brock and others. January 20 Mr. Baghdassaryan will return to Yerevan.
