The Huawei Ascend P6 has been officially confirmed on the company's Facebook page, Digital Spy said.
In a post titled "Ascend P6 Story", Huawei claims to have used the best materials and components for its upcoming handset.
Reportedly measuring in at 132.6 x 65.5 x 6.18mm, the Android device appears to be on course to become the world's slimmest handset.
The P6-UO6 is also said to feature a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and Google's Jelly Bean operating system.
The news comes ahead of the launch of Huawei's Ascend P2 smartphone, which is described as the 'the world's fastest mobile'.
Boasting a 4.7-inch HD display, the handset runs off a 1.5GHz quad-core processor backed up by 1GB of RAM and Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
