Film Movement nabs “Ilo Ilo” Cannes Camera d’Or winnerMay 30, 2013 - 19:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Film Movement has acquired Ilo Ilo, the Anthony Chen-directed family drama that became the first Singaporean feature film to win a big prize at Cannes with the Camera d’Or, Deadline said. Set in Singapore during the beginning of the Asian financial crisis, Ilo Ilo chronicles the relationship between the Lim family and their newly arrived maid, Teresa. Jiale, the young and troublesome son, starts to form a unique bond with Teresa, who soon becomes an unspoken part of the family.
