January 19 Armenian National Assembly Speaker Artur Baghdassaryan met with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, RA NA press service reported. A large scope of issues referring to the OSCE-Armenia cooperation, the implementation of the constitutional amendments as well as OSCE expert assistance was discussed. The parties also referred to the bilateral cooperation in the context of the elections in Armenia in 2007-2008. Artur Baghdassaryan noted the importance of resolving the problems available in the energy and transport fields as well as the implementation of programs contributing to the development of the region and creation of economic infrastructures. For his part, the OSCE Secretary General informed that the OSCE Mission is expected to visit Armenia and the region in the near future.
