Bird Flu Specialists Arriving in Armenia Today
A group of American specialists in will arrive in Armenia and Georgia January 24. According to US Embassy Charge D'Affaires Anthony Godfrey, the experts will hold meetings with the officials of the RA Ministries of Agriculture and Health as well as international organizations dealing with the bird flu problem in Armenia. "We know that avian influenza is a problem not recognizing state borders and it is our common task to struggle against it. The best way of struggle is the accessibility of information about the disease. That is why the delegation includes skilled specialists dealing with this aspect of the problem," Anthony Godfrey said. "Armenia is included in the list of countries of high risk level and thorough investigation in the republic is essential," he added, IA Regnum reported.
