1st look at Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel in “Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug”

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new image of Evangeline Lilly in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has been released, Digital Spy said.

Lilly plays Tauriel, an elven warrior whose character is an original creation of writers Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.

Released by Entertainment Weekly, the image is accompanied by a quote from Lilly describing Tauriel as "slightly reckless and totally ruthless".

Jackson confirmed last month that the final period of shooting for third film There and Back Again has commenced in New Zealand.

Lilly, who is most famous for playing Kate in all six seasons of Lost, has described the experience of working with Jackson as "super-inspiring".

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be released on December 13, 2013.
