IAEA: other states may benefit from Armenia’s expertise in nuke energyJune 10, 2013 - 21:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian met the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Deputy Director General Alexander Bychkov on Monday, June 10. During the meeting, the parties hailed current level of relations between Armenia and IAEA, noting the existing potential for their further expansion. According to Bychkov, Armenia succeeded in nuclear energy development, with the country capable of serving an example to the states that are new to the experience. Hovakimyan, in turn, stressed that further strengthening of ties with IAEA is important to Armenia in terms of development of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, provision of the Armenian NPP safety, construction of a new energy block. In conclusion, he thanked IAEA for technical cooperation in retraining Armenian experts.
