Transparency of Karabakh Negotiations Should Be Limited
The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs arrived in Yerevan today. Like in Azerbaijan, the negotiations were held confidentially. The Co-chairs did not meet with journalists. In the opinion of Armenian political scientist Aghavni Karakhanyan, the transparency of negotiations of the kind should always be limited. "The more strict is the limitation the more successful are the talks. I do not think that all that is being discussed should be made public. Moreover if the matter concerns such an important issue and on the threshold of the President's meeting in Rambouillet," she told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. As an example she remembered Heydar Aliyev's words, "When we reach agreement you will know."

To remind, Azeri political scientist Zardusht Alizade considers that such confidentiality of the OSCE MG activities conflicts with democracy principle. "They have nothing to discuss. The positions of Azerbaijan and Armenia are absolutely opposite," he stated.
