UEFA Will Not Object to Armenian and Azeri Teams Meeting in Neutral Field
"The UEFA will not object to holding a match between Azeri and Armenian teams in a neutral field, if the parties come to an accord," stated Secretary General of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) Fuad Asadov. He remarked that one of priority tasks today is attaining consensus over the issue with the Armenian party. "Didn't we play the home meetings of the qualifying round in Trabzon? We can also recall the Israeli team, which often played matches outside the home country. Thus, the number of precedents is enough and I suppose the UEFA will not object to it," Asadov emphasized, reported Trend agency.
