A hot trailer for The Frozen Ground thriller hit the web, Deadline reported.

“Have you ever seen anybody do anything like this before?” In The Frozen Ground, an Alaska State Trooper (Nicolas Cage) asks that question about a series of particularly brutal cold-case serial killings in which the lead suspect is an upstanding local citizen (John Cusack). The only real lead is Cindy (Vanessa Hudgens), a stripper who’s the one would-be victim to escape from the killer.

Writer-director Scott Walker’s film, based on real events, co-stars Dean Norris, Olga Valentina, Michael McGrady, Radha Mitchell and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who also is among its producers. Lionsgate opens the thriller August 23:
