Iranian FM: US Better not Interfere with Sovereign State Affairs
Iran intends to defend its right for nuclear power engineering development program. As Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki stated in the course of a news conference in Armenia, no one has the right to deprive Iran of the right to have nuclear power engineering. "Our country comes for talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which will solve two issues: Iran will not use the nuclear energy for military purposes, thus Iran has the right to build nuclear power plants. "We intend to defend our rights. Official Teheran explained IAEA that it is does not accept our viewpoint over the future of the nuclear power engineering of Iran, it is pregnant with negative consequences. There is no need to submit the issue for consideration by the UN SC. Iran is confident in its right and it will have a nuclear program," the Iranian FM emphasized. He said construction works in Busher are finished and nuclear fuel will be supplied from Russia soon. The assessed capacity of the Busher NPP makes 20 thousand MW, Mottaki said.

As of the stand of the US towards Iran, the Iranian FM remarked the favorite sport in US is American football, where only strength is necessary. «We prefer chess. In my opinion, the US had better deal with its domestic issues and not interfere with affairs of sovereign states,» he said. It was America, who first used the atomic bomb, he reminded. «We speak of mere peaceful use of nuclear energy,» Mottaki summed up.
