James Franco to adapt William Faulkner’s “The Sound and the Fury”

PanARMENIAN.Net - James Franco will adapt The Sound and the Fury. The Oz the Great and Powerful actor has decided to follow-up As I Lay Dying with a second William Faulkner adaptation, Digital Spy reported citing the Los Angeles Times.

He will once again be working with co-writer Matt Rager on the script, with James directing.

Jon Hamm is reportedly wanted for the role of patriarch Jason Compson III, with Dave Franco as his older brother's choice for the tortured Quentin Compson.

James and Danny McBride are also in line for unnamed roles.

As I Lay Dying received mixed reviews when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

James recently dropped out of The Garden of Last Days two weeks before filming began due to a conflict with his financiers.
