Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds in “R.I.P.D.” action comedy featurette (video)  July 5, 2013 - 13:21 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - R.I.P.D. has debuted a new featurette. The video sees stars Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds discuss their roles in the upcoming comic book movie, Digital Spy said. The film centres around rising star detective Nick Walker (Reynolds). When he is killed in the line of duty, the cop is recruited by the Rest in Peace Department, which polices the world's dead citizens. He is assigned as partner to veteran officer Roy Pulsifer (Bridges), who needs his help when the dead threaten to overwhelm the living. Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Robert Knepper, James Hong, Marisa Miller, Mike O'Malley and Devin Ratray also star in the Robert Schwentke-directed movie. The film is based on Peter M Lenkov's Dark Horse Comics series of the same name. Reynolds recently joked that the film would see him going head-to-head with himself, as he features in the voice cast for Turbo, which opens on the same day.
