Expert: no one is inviting Armenia in Customs Union

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is not facing a choice between the European Union and Eurasian Union, with having no perspective to join these institutions, Caucasus Institute head said.

According to Alexander Iskandaryan, Armenia only has a possibility of cooperation and it’s trying to move in this direction.

“There is no firm guarantee that the Association Agreement with the EU will be signed in Vilnius. It will only be the beginning of the process,” he said.

As to the Customs Union, no one invited Armenia to become a member. “Not membership in the Customs Union but cooperation with it is being discussed now,” Iskandaryan concluded.
