Margot Robbie to replace Kristen Stewart in Will Smith’s "Focus"July 16, 2013 - 11:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Margot Robbie, who will soon be seen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Wolf of Wall Street," is in early talks for the female lead opposite Will Smith in WB's grifter movie "Focus", TheWrap said citing Variety. While there is no official offer on the table, Robbie landed the plum part after recently testing for the role, according to an individual familiar with the project. She beat out several higher-profile actresses including Jessica Biel. The original idea was for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone to star, as "Focus" is written and directed by their "Crazy, Stupid, Love" filmmakers John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. When scheduling made that pairing impossible, Kristen Stewart attached herself briefly before Smith boarded the project. Ben Affleck was once in negotiations as well before he decided to 'focus' on directing "Live By Night" for Warners. Denise Di Novi is producing the movie, which follows an inexperienced female con artist who teams up with a more seasoned male one. Robbie starred in the short-lived series "PanAm" before landing the female lead in Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street.” She'll soon be seen in Richard Curtis' romance movie "About Time."
