"The Simpsons" to be featured in "Family Guy" crossover episode

PanARMENIAN.Net - It turns out that "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" will put their rivalry aside for a moment. The Matt Groening comedy will be featured in a crossover episode of the Seth MacFarlane sitcom called "The Simpsons Guy". The special episode reportedly will air in fall 2014, AceShowbiz said.

Entertainment Weekly learns that "Simpsons" cast members Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria are set to lend their voices for the mash-up episode, in which the Griffins will embark on a road trip and encounter Homer and his family in Springfield.

In the installment, the two families become fast friends. Bart will impress Stewie with his assortment of pranks, Lisa tries to fix Meg, and Marge will have bonding time with Lois. Meanwhile, dads Homer and Peter will be featured arguing over which beer tastes better: Pawtucket or Duff.

It is not the first time the two FOX comedies, both aired on Sunday night, team up for a special project. Castellaneta previously was tapped to have a one-line voice cameo in an October 2012 episode of "Family Guy", while "Family Guy" creator MacFarlane was invited to take a prominent guest role on season 24 finale of "The Simpsons".
