ICRC: no info on captured Armenian soldier in Azerbaijan yet

PanARMENIAN.Net - Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) could not meet Armenian serviceman Hakob Injighulyan in the Azerbaijani captivity yet.

As a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter was told in the ICRC office in Yerevan, there is no information available about the soldier and it’s unknown whether any meeting can be organized during the Muslim holidays to last till Aug 11.

The employees of the ICRC office in Baku requested the Azerbaijani authorities for a meeting with the captive but were rejected because of the holidays. The Armenian side also said they take all necessary measures for the soonest return of the serviceman.

On the night of Aug 8, Artsakh defense army serviceman Hakob Injighulyan, born in 1991, when on duty, failed to find his bearings on the ground and crossed into the Azeri-controlled territory.
