Roadside Attractions nabs Emile Zola novel-based “Therese” thrillerAugust 28, 2013 - 10:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Roadside Attractions has acquired domestic distribution rights to “Therese” a romantic thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar Isaac, Tom Felton and Jessica Lange, TheWrap said. Charlie Stratton wrote and directed the film, which is based on Emile Zola’s novel “Therese Raquin.” Set in 1860s Paris, it stars Olsen as the titular young woman stuck in a loveless marriage to her cousin Camille (Felton). Repressed and eager for change, she begins an affair Camille’s childhood friend Laurent (Isaac). “We have always loved this script and have been actively tracking ‘Therese’ since it was being developed,” Roadside Attractions co-president Howard Cohen said in a statement.
