Armenian banks provide USD 43,7mln in loans Sept 2-8September 14, 2013 - 12:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - From Sept 2 to 8, AMD loans granted by Armenian commercial banks totaled 34.3bln, while USD loans amounted to 43,7mln, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reported. USD 77,778,121 was bought at an average price of AMD 409.49/USD 1 and USD 79,742,498 sold at an average price of AMD 410.91/USD 1 at the Armenian foreign currency market during the reporting period. Deals amounting to USD 10,550,000 at an average price of AMD 409.53/USD 1 were concluded at NASDAQ OMX Armenia. The amount of loans provided by the Armenian commercial banks in July 2013 totaled AMD 331,772bln against AMD 329,276bln in June. The loans given for purchase of household appliances and computers amounted to AMD 21bln, for car purchase – AMD 17,604bln and for other purposes – AMD 80,611bln. Loans against gold totaled AMD 100,622bln. The maximum interest rates for the loans for legal persons: in AMD – 21.4%, in USD - 24%, in euros - 24%; for physical persons: in AMD – 23.1%, in USD 19.6%, in euros - 21%.
