1st look at Benedict Cumberbatch as WWII Enigma codebraker Alan Turing

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Imitation Game has released a first look at Benedict Cumberbatch on set, Dgital Spy said.

The actor will star in the Alan Turing biopic as the tragic genius.

The pioneer of modern-day computing is credited with cracking the German Enigma Code during World War II.

He was convicted for 'indecency' as a homosexual and 'chemically castrated', before committing suicide in 1954.

Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Allen Leech and Matthew Beard will also feature in the film.

Morten Tyldum is directing from Graham Moore's screenplay, which is based on Andrew Hodges's book Alan Turing: The Enigma.

Cumberbatch has denied rumours that he has auditioned to play a villain in Star Wars Episode 7.

The Imitation Game began shooting in London earlier in the week.
