Artist Sassoon Kosian to present exhibit in NJOctober 9, 2013 - 17:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Barron Arts Center in Woodbridge, NJ, is presenting an exhibit featuring the works of Armenian-born artist Sassoon Kosian from Oct 15 through 20, Edison Sentinel reports. Kosian has developed an original process for his work, using computer-generated “blueprints” that evolve slowly into the finished work. “My work is about human experiences,” Kosian said. “Emotions, feelings and thoughts are represented by a dynamic interplay of color and nonrepresentational forms. I often express energy and motion. One of my artistic objectives is to create ever more intense pieces that convey emotional power and energy.” Kosian has been studying painting at the Art Students League of New York since 2009. He primarily focuses on geometrical abstraction and color theory. Almost every painting is based on a digitally made design though the paintings sometimes take a life of their own. Sassoon relies on intuition to compose his works and choose the colors. He also explores photography to discover new avenues of developing his abstract paintings. Kosian exhibits frequently in New York and other U.S. cities. He is the recipient of a 2012 Merit Scholarship Award from the Art Students League of New York. He has won awards in national juried exhibitions and art competitions, and his art has been featured in a number of art publications.
