Samsung to roll out Galaxy S5 in January: reportOctober 11, 2013 - 19:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung is allegedly planning to unveil its Galaxy S5 smartphone in January 2014, Digital Spy said. Korean website Joseilbo claims to have heard from inside sources that the handset will go on sale in February, a month or so earlier than the firm traditionally unveils its flagship phones. The current-generation Galaxy S4 is said to have fallen short of Samsung's internal projections despite selling 20 million units worldwide. With demand for the device thought to be declining and Apple's rival iPhone 5S now on the market, rumours suggest that Samsung is considering fast-tracking its successor. Previous reports suggest that the Galaxy S5 will feature an aluminium shell, marking a departure from the polycarbonate casing of its predecessors. Other rumoured features include an Exynos 5430 64-bit CPU and 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation.
