The British film director, currently enjoying acclaim and Oscar buzz for 12 Years a Slave, is developing a drama at HBO. The Hollywood Reporter confirms that McQueen and World War Z scribe Matthew Michael Carnahan are co-writing the project, with McQueen also set to direct should a pilot go into production, The Hollywood Reporter said. The untitled project centers on a young African-American man with a mysterious past as he experiences life in New York high society.
