Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman in “Sherlock” series 3 teaser (video)  November 5, 2013 - 11:37 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - The first official picture from Sherlock's third series has been released, featuring both Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman), Digital Spy said. The BBC One detective drama's new run will again span three episodes - 'The Empty Hearse' by Mark Gatiss, 'The Sign of Three' by Stephen Thompson and 'His Last Vow' by Steven Moffat. Moffat, the show's executive producer, writer and co-creator, said: "It's been a long time since Sherlock Holmes jumped off that roof - it's time to reveal the truth about what happened between him and the pavement." Executive producer, writer and co-creator Gatiss added: "Sherlock and John Watson are back at last! And they're just where we want them - on the streets of London having mad, thrilling adventures." Lars Mikkelsen has been cast as a new nemesis for Sherlock, while Amanda Abbington will play Mary Morstan, a love interest for John Watson. Sherlock will return to BBC One in the coming months.
