Apple iPad with 12.9-inch display to be released in 2014: report

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple is allegedly planning to release a version of its iPad tablet with a 12.9-inch display next year, according to Digital Spy.

The company's manufacturing partner Foxconn is testing the device ahead of a potential March 2014 launch, according to PadNews (via Apple Insider).

Specs details for the large-screen tablet are yet to surface, but this is not the first report to claim that Apple is developing a larger iPad.

The Wall Street Journal's sources claimed that the Cupertino firm was testing larger panels for both its iPad and iPhone ranges over the summer.

The news follows reports that Samsung is developing a tablet with a 12.2-inch display, which could end up becoming a new addition to its Galaxy line.

Apple released its flagship iPad Air tablet last week, and will launch its iPad mini with Retina display later this month.
