Yuri Kolokolnikov to play Styr of Thenn in "Game of Thrones" season 4November 6, 2013 - 16:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Game of Thrones" has just added another actor to the cast ensemble for season 4, which is currently filming in Europe. Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov is tapped to play Styr, the Magnar of Thenn, debunking previous speculation that Joseph Gatt would take the role, AceShowbiz said. Styr is the leader of Thenn, a clan of wildlings which, in the novel, is sent by Mance Rayder with other wildlings to attack the Wall. On the show, however, he may join other tribes to potentially invade Westeros under Mance's leadership. Kolokolnikov is a well-known actor in his homeland although he's relatively unheard before in the U.S. Season 4 of the medieval drama series is set to premiere in 2014. Neil Marshall, who is set to direct the penultimate episode of the upcoming season, said his episode may be as gory as "Red Wedding" in season 3. "I think that's one of the key things of 'Game of Thrones', which is to take characters that you loved for three of four years and then butcher them brutally," he teased. "Yeah, there's a bit of drama and tragedy in my episode so I'm sure there is for the rest of the season as well." Kit Harington who plays Jon Snow once also said there would be "more deaths this season than any other." He added, "You'd think they'd tone the deaths down, but they don't. They've realized that's a successful option, so they're just killing more people than they've ever killed."
