Asa Butterfield to joins Clive Owen in "King of the Kastle" indie comedy

Asa Butterfield is eyed to star in Benaroya Pictures' indie comedy "The King of the Kastle". The 16-year-old actor who was recently seen in "Ender's Game" is expected to join "Hemingway & Gellhorn" star Clive Owen who is already tapped to play the key role.

As AceShowbiz reveals citing The Wrap, Owen will portray a philanderer in the movie and Butterfield is courted to tackle the role of a teenage boy who blackmails Owen's character. "Silver Linings Playbook" actress Jacki Weaver is attached to the project as well, but her role is still unspecified.

Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, who penned Jonah Hill's comedy "The Sitter", co-wrote the screenplay and will make their directorial debut with the pic. Jonathan Gordon ("Silver Linings Playbook") is involved in the production.

Butterfield was lauded for his performance in David Heyman-produced Holocaust drama "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" released in 2008. He got more praise for portraying the title role in Martin Scorsese's critically-acclaimed "Hugo".
