NATO for Peaceful Settlement of Karabakh Conflict
The NATO comes for peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Robert Simmons stated in Baku. In his words, during a visit in Baku he had a number of meetings with Azeri officials on future prospects of cooperation with the NATO. At a meeting with Azeri Defense Minister, colonel general Safar Abiyev Mr. Simmons noted the large prospects of NATO-Azerbaijan relations. Fulfillment of the commitments according to the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) will convey an impulse to strengthen Azerbaijan's defense potential, he said. «As of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the NATO is for peaceful settlement of the conflict,» Simmons repeated, Trend reports.
