"The Nut Job" animated comedy unveils new trailer

The first full trailer for animated film "The Nut Job" is loaded with hilarious scenes. Will Arnett lends his voice to the mischievous squirrel Surly. He is left to fend off for himself in the big city after accidentally burning down a tree that led to him being banished from his park, AceShowbiz said.

Surly then stumbles upon Maury's Nut Store. In a desperate attempt to survive the approaching winter, the squirrel and his rat buddy assemble a crew to rob the store. As the brain of the heist, he hatches a plan to break into the building and escape the humans.

The family-friendly pic is directed by CGI veteran Peter Lepeniotis, based on his 2005 short animated film "Surly Squirrel". It is due to draw laughs in theaters on January 17, 2014 with Katherine Heigl, Brendan Fraser, Stephen Lang and Maya Rudolph among the voice cast.
