"Breaking Bad" star joins Russell Crowe in "Fathers and Daughters"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Aaron Paul is looking to reteam with his “Big Love” co-star as he has signed on to star alongside Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried in the Voltage Prods. drama “Fathers and Daughters”, Variety said.

Gabriele Muccino is directing. Busted Shark Prods., Fear of God Films and Leone Films are also involved in the project, with Craig J. Flores and Nicolas Chartier of Voltage and Sherryl Clark of Busted Shark producing.

Story follows a father and daughter living 25 years apart in New York City. Crowe will portray a famous novelist and widower struggling with mental illness as he tries to raise his 5-year-old daughter. Seyfried will portray the now-grown daughter in present-day Manhattan as she battles the aftermath of her troubled childhood.

Brad Desch wrote the original script, which was featured on the Black List.

Crowe and Keith Rodger will also exec produce via their Fear of God production shingle, along with Romilda De Luca. Andrea Leone Films will also co-produce and handle Italian distribution rights.

Paul is playing Seyfried’s love interest, and the role should come naturally given that he played a comparable part on HBO’s “Big Love.”

With his hit show “Breaking Bad” at an end, Paul already looks prepared to make the leap to features. He can be seen next in DreamWorks’ “Need for Speed” and is currently filming Fox’s Moses pic “Exodus.”
