Foreign Minister to meet Azeri counterpart in Kyiv

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers will meet Wednesday, December 4 in Kyiv on the sidelines of the 20th OSCE Ministerial Council.

“We’ll try to achieve some progress in Karabakh settlement talks. The sides’ willingness to reach progress is important, and so is realistic approach. The latter can become possible by following the proposals presented by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries leaders in five statements,” Edward Nalbandian told a news conference.

According to the official, Armenia reiterated adherence to peaceful settlement of the conflict. “Should Azeri side show similar attitude, a progress in negotiations will become a possibility,” Nalbandian stressed.

In conclusion, the Foreign Minister characterized the November 19 meeting in Vienna between Armenian and Azeri leaders as constructive, Panorama.am reported.
