"Veronica Mars" mystery drama unveils clip, release date (video) December 5, 2013 - 13:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Veronica Mars" has booked a release date. The big screen adaptation of neo-noir mystery drama series of the same name is confirmed to make its way out in the United States on March 14, 2014, almost exactly a year after its Kickstarter campaign was announced March 13 this year, AceShowbiz said. "Warner Bros. had this date circled for quite some time and hoped it would stay open," creator Rob Thomas tells Entertainment Weekly in a statement. "Luckily, no other teen detective movie decided to open in the middle of March." Ahead of the movie release, a brand new clip for the upcoming film is released for viewing pleasure. It sees the titular character running into her old enemy in high school at what seems to be a reunion party, which she reluctantly attends. The movie will follow Veronica returning to her hometown of Neptune, California, after 10 years away to aid former flame Logan who has been accused of killing his pop star girlfriend. Kristen Bell reprises her title role, while Jason Dohring returns as Logan. The film becomes one of the most successful Kickstarter projects with $5.7 million collected from the online fundraising. The movie was initially planned for a limited release before getting a video-on-demand release, but Warner Bros. now plans to give it a wider release.
