Peter Jackson confirms plans for “Adventures of Tintin” sequel

PanARMENIAN.Net - Peter Jackson has confirmed plans for a sequel to The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, Digital Spy said.

The director revealed that he has the project lined up to follow his third Hobbit film. As soon as I'm free of The Hobbit, I'll be going back into doing Tintin," he told BadTaste.it.

"It was held up by The Hobbit, but we have every intention of doing another Tintin movie and it's just waiting on me to be done with these Hobbit movies."

Jackson served as a producer on the 2011 Steven Spielberg-directed Tintin film. The second film has been rumoured to be based on The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun.

Jackson has also said that he would like to adapt the Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon books in later instalments.

Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be released on December 13, with final film There and Back Again following in December 2014.
