OSCE REPRESENTATIVE NOT CONFIRMED AZERI ARMY TAKING UP BORDER VILLAGES IN KAZAKH REGION

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the state of affairs up to today the Karabakh-Azeri confrontation line near Kazakh region has not undergone any changes. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Anjey Kasprshik stated it, thus denying Baku mass media reports that the Azeri army had allegedly taken up a number of border villages in Kazakh region. In Kasprshik's words, any changes in the front line were not registered in the course of his monitoring of the mentioned region. At the same time he stated that the cease-fire regime on the Karabakh-Azeri confrontation line was mainly observed in 2002. In his words, individual facts of breach took place, and their number increased by the end of the year. "It will not do good," - Kasprshik said, expressing hope for the situation to improve in 2003.
