Idris Elba, Sam Worthington join Noomi Rapace in “Alive Alone”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Idris Elba and Sam Worthington are joining Noomi Rapace in the cast of “Alive Alone” Thunder Road Pictures’ visceral New York-set thriller being sold in Berlin by Protagonist Pictures, Variety reported.

The film, which is set to shoot in New York City in March, is the directorial debut of Khurram Longi. Longi’s highly touted screenplay featured on both the Black List in the U.S. and the Brit List in the U.K.

Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk is producing with Rapace acting as exec producer. Michael Benaroya’s Benaroya Pictures is financing.

Elba will star as Jamal, an ex-detainee of Guantanamo Bay working as a taxi driver, and Rapace will play Sarah, a prostitute on the run from a feared crime boss. When their worlds collide, they unexpectedly find salvation in each other.

Worthington, the star of blockbuster movies “Avatar,” “Clash of the Titans” and “Terminator Salvation,” will play the crime boss Murphy.
