Recognition of Armenian Genocide by Bush Not Request but Claim of Armenian Community
"Turkey took the way of European integration, thus wishing to show to Europe it is ready to diplomatic dialogue with Armenia, however if today's Turkey with its stand over recognition of the Armenian Genocide becomes an EU member, it is fraught with dangerous consequences to Armenia," stated head of Hay Dat Office and chief of the Political Affairs Department of the Bureau of ARF Dashnakstutyun Kiro Manoyan. In his words, "the issue of recognition of the Genocide is first of all political, and then - establishment of justice and historical truth," believes Kiro Manoyan.

He also remarked Turkey admits "big mistakes" in its foreign policy. Thus, the Turkish Diaspora holds aggressive actions. Manoyan reminded that German authorities banned rallies of Turkish organizations that were due in Berlin on March 18 on the 85th anniversary of Armenian student Soghomon Teyleryan killing Taaleat pasha, who is the person responsible for committing the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey 1915.

Kiro Manoyan also remarked the Armenian community in the US has never asked President Bush to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, «the community demands it.» We remind, that in his annual statement on the 91st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey US President George W. Bush again avoided the term «genocide» when referring to the events in the Ottoman Empire in 1915, reports IA Regnum.
