Valentina Matviyenko: It's Doubly Painful When Young and Healthy People Die
Governor of Saint Petersburg Valentina Matviyenko attended the General Consulate of the Republic of Armenia to make a note in the condolence book over the crash of the Armenian jet. "On behalf of all the residents of Saint Petersburg I extend deepest condolences to the fraternal Armenia over the tragic loss of people near Sochi. Citizens of our states were aboard. Today, May 5, was proclaimed that mourning day in Armenia and Russia. In these mournful days I express my sincere sympathy to the relatives of those killed," the Governor wrote. Valentina Matvienko also expressed condolences to Armenian Consul General Ruben Hakobyan. "It's doubly painful when young and healthy people die. The relative lost the dearest people," the Governor said, reported RIA Novosti.
