Apple rolls out X Yosemite Mac operating system

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple has announced its latest version of the Mac operating system, OS X Yosemite, Digital Spy reported.

A fresh and modern design akin to iOS has been introduced, with new apps, as well as continuity features that will make working across a Mac and iOS device smoother than ever before.

Toolbars and app icons are simplified and more streamlined for a more consistent design and look.

The Notification Centre has received an overhaul, becoming the new easy go-to place to look at everything you might need, with widgets for Calendar, Weather, Stocks, Reminders, World Clock and various social networks.

Spotlight now provides different categories of results, from Wikipedia, Maps and Bing to App Store, iTunes Store and iBooks Store.

Safari has also been streamlined to make important controls easier to use, including a single navigation bar, a new favourites view and a Tabs view that displays thumbnails of all open pages in one window.

iCloud Drive is now built right into the Finder, and will store any type of file, while Mail has been simplified to make editing and sending attachments easier than before.

Markup allows users to fill out and sign forms quickly and also enables annotations to images and PDFs from within your mailbox. Sending videos, images or files of up to 5GB to any email address from the Mail app is now possible due to Mail Drop, which will host the file elsewhere for the recipient to download.

Handoff is the standout addition in Yosemite, enabling you to start an activity on your Mac and continue it on another Mac, an iPhone or an iPad seamlessly.
