US Ambassador to Armenia John Evans is awarded Khachatur Abovyan gilded medal of the State Pedagogical University of Armenia. As University Rector Artyusha Ghukasyan stated at the awarding ceremony, the US diplomat is awarded the medal for contribution to development of the Armenian youth, science and education, as well as public activities. He remarked that the decision was passed by the Rector's Office and the Academic Council. Mr. Evans thanked for the honor. "We are glad to have our modest contribution to development of the University," the Ambassador underscored, reports Novosti-Armenia.
