Adrien Brody as famous magician in "Houdini" miniseries trailer (video) August 9, 2014 - 15:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - History channel has finally released the first trailer for its "Houdini" miniseries. The video sees Adrien Brody as the famous magician performing some of his greatest stunts, including the Chinese Water Torture Cell, AceShowbiz said. While highlighting his work, which later takes a shift as he becomes a debunker of fake mediums and spiritualists, the trailer also captures his personal life. His fondness for chain on stage apparently also applies on bed as seen in an intimate scene. His close relationship with his mother is also hinted in the snippet. The four-hour miniseries follows the man behind the magic as he finds fame, engages in espionage, battles spiritualists and encounters the greatest names of the era, from U.S. presidents to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Grigori Rasputin. The drama will chronicle the life of a man who can defy death through his stunts, his visions and his mastery of illusion. Kristen Connolly stars as Wilhelmina Beatrice "Bess" Rahner, Houdini's stage assistant and eventually his wife. The miniseries will air as two-part event on September 1 and 2 at 9/8c on History.
