Helmer Tommy Wirkola teases world of Voodoo in "Hansel and Gretel 2"October 14, 2014 - 13:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Tommy Wirkola teases what to expect from the upcoming "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 2". Speaking to Collider, he opens up, "The script is really cool and opens up a new world of Voodoo. So that's the world where the sequel goes." Wirkola directed and penned the first "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters". He steps down from his position as the director, but still returns to the scriptwriting duty. "I wrote a script for it that I'm really happy with and the producers really love," he spills. "And the studio is high on it and they want to shoot it next year." The first flick released in 2013 starred Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton. It's unclear if the two will reprise their roles in the next installment, but Renner recently said he hadn't been approached for the sequel. Regardless, he is game to return for the sequel, AceShowbiz said. Renner is a very busy actor. He will next reprise his role as Hawkeye in "Avengers: Age of Ultron", return as an ally for Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible V", and continue to lead the untitled new Bourne movie. There are also rumors that his Hawkeye character will have a bigger role in "Captain America 3".
