Mance Media nabs award-winning comedy “Zero Charisma”

An award-winning film about a geeky underdog is getting another chance to be seen. Mance Media has acquired the international rights to Zero Charisma, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The comedy from directors Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews won the audience award at the 2013 South by Southwest Film Festival.

The deal was negotiated by executive producer Rod Olson and producer Thomas Fernandes.

"I am ecstatic to be working with the talented filmmakers behind Zero Charisma and am confident in the same success overseas that the film saw domestically," said Matthew Mancinelli, CEO of Mance Media. "Mance Media is anxious to introduce this hilarious, character-driven comedy to the international marketplace through our strong broadcast relationships, output deals and our global VOD distribution pipeline."

The film, released in theaters domestically in October 2013 by Tribeca Film and Nerdist Industries, tells the story of a nerdy gamemaster whose role as leader of his group is threatened by a charming newbie. Sam Eidson, Brock England, Garrett Graham, Anne Gee Byrd and Cyndi Williams star.

"We’re delighted to be working with Mance Media to finally get Zero Charisma available to international audiences," directors Graham and Matthews said.
