IFC Films picks up Ethan Hawke drone warfare drama “Good Kill”October 18, 2014 - 18:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - IFC Films has bought U.S. rights to Ethan Hawke’s drone warfare drama “Good Kill” seven weeks after its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, Variety reported. The film, directed by Andrew Niccol from his own script, also stars January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Bruce Greenwood, and Jake Abel. Producers are Nicolas Chartier and Zev Foreman of Voltage Pictures and Mark Amin of Sobini Films. The story centers on a Hawke’s character, who works eight hours each day fighting the War on Terror by remote control and the remaining time at his suburban home, where he feuds with his wife, (portrayed by Jones). In his review for Variety, Guy Lodge called the film a “smart, quietly pulsating contempo war drama.” “Good Kill” had its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
