HP, Acer to preload Dropbox on their new machinesOctober 29, 2014 - 17:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Dropbox has struck up a deal with PC makers HP and Acer that will see its cloud storage service come preloaded on their new machines, Digital Spy said. An icon for the service will appear on the home screen on all tablets, laptops and desktop computers made by the companies. Dropbox users who purchase a new HP or Acer machine will receive a discount on a premium account with the digital storage provider, although specific pricing is yet to be announced. Freemium users are granted access to 2GB of storage, but a Dropbox Pro account is required for anyone whose needs are greater.
