Turks-Meskhetians Arrived in Javakhk as "Tourists"
Some 40 Turks-Meskhetians arrived in Javakhk. They visited the villages of Khavet and Davni, Akhalkalak region, where their ancestors used to live. When talking with Armenians residing in the villages the Turks said they arrived as tourists and have no intention to resettle there, reported A-info news agency. To note, after the expulsion of Turks-Meskhtians in 1944 their houses in the Aspindza and Adyga regions in Samtskhe Javakhetia were occupied by Georgians.
